50 years ago my late father spent most of 1962 and 1963 in Paris as part of his obligation to the United Stated government (drafted into the army). I spent about a week scanning in almost 500 slides from his time in France, which are part of a larger collection of over 1,500 images. Here are some of the best night photos of the City of Light:
- Arch de Triumph
- The Champs de Elyse looking towards the arch
- The turnaround shot looking towards the Place de la Concorde
- One of Paris’ famous neon sites
- Possibly Georges and Rosy dance studio
- Italian Gelati Motta neon sign
- A French soda owned by Perrier
- Notre Dame de Paris’ 800th anniversary celebration
- Notre Dame’s famous rose window
- Hotel de Ville ( Paris City Hall )
- A bridge over the river Seine
