There are two recent events that have rekindled my interest in LEGOs. The first was getting the Emerald Night set. The second was when news.cnet.com published photos from the LEGO Museum in Billund, Denmark. One of the photos they published was of the 1978 Galaxy Transporter set. Cnet claims 1978 is the start of LEGO’s foray into space-related sets. However, I have found this Moon Landing set from 1975.
The Galaxy Transporter looked familiar as my parents bought me the Space Cruiser set when I was a kid. I went to the Lego Users group site and found the instructions for this set. I was able to build it but I did have some missing parts.
